About R.A.I.S.E.
R.A.I.S.E. (Recovering Autonomy through Information, Support and Education) is a peer-led Community Interest Company founded by survivors of cultic and coercive groups. We provide confidential, accessible, and survivor-informed services that support individuals and families in recovering from coercive control, spiritual abuse, and psychological harm. Our mission is to help people rebuild their lives, restore autonomy, and reconnect with their sense of self through psychoeducation, peer support, and shared experiences.
Our Mission
Our Vision
We envision a society where survivors of cultic and coercive abuse are met with dignity, understanding, and real support. Emotional awareness is part of daily life, peer-led care is accessible, and recovery is shaped by creativity, choice, and connection. Restoration grows when survivor communities are listened to and included, professionals respond with respect, and support is guided by the firsthand experiences of those impacted. Everyone deserves the freedom to reclaim their story on their own terms.

Hearing other people's stories and seeing the similarities between mine and their experiences made me feel validated. I also learned a lot from the educational portion of the meetings.
